The race for Arizona's 1st Congressional District is finally over, the Associated Press reported Tuesday.
Informal results posted at the Secretary of State site showed Arizona House Speaker Andy Tobin with a narrow lead over rancher Gary Kiehne with all precincts accounted for, but results don't have to officially be released until Sept. 8.

The powerful business group is putting hundreds of thousands of dollars behind a television ad for state House Speaker Andy Tobin, filling a void for the financially strapped GOP candidate, who has been unable to spend on television advertising. Tobin's two GOP rivals — businessman and rancher Gary Kiehne and state lawmaker Adam Kwasman — are already on the air with ads.
